Howard L. Patent

A principal of the firm, Mr. Patent serves as Senior Vice President and is responsible for managing and overseeing the tax compliance for Equus and its investment partners.  As part of his duties, he performs tax planning, structuring and research for a variety of tax-related issues.  He also assists the Capital Markets group with debt management and project financing.

Prior to joining Equus in 1993, Mr. Patent worked as a Senior Tax Accountant at Ernst & Young in Philadelphia for three years.

Mr. Patent is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania.  He holds an M.B.A. in Finance from Temple University (1996) and a B.A. in Accounting from Drexel University (1990).  Mr. Patent is a licensed real estate salesperson.

Mr. Patent serves as Secretary of the Lower Moreland Board of School Directors.  He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
