The building was constructed in the 1970s as office/educational space for Western Electric, and subsequently renovated in 2004 into a world-class laboratory facility for Lexicon Pharmaceuticals, who occupied the building until 2015. Bristol Myers Squibb occupied the building in 2015 for their leading cancer research group, and invested nearly $15 million, completely refurbishing all the mechanical equipment including the HVAC System, DI Water System, Vacuum System and lab equipment, restoring each to their original manufacturer specification.
The building has 3,000 amp service provide by dual 13.8 KV feeders from PSEG. Natural Gas is provided by Elizabethtown.
Lab equipment includes 94 fume hoods (Bedcolab, Kewaunee, Fisher Hamilton and Sentry) with each piped for nitrogen, carbon dioxide, vacuum and compressed air. There are also 32 Alsident System articulating arms located throughout the various lab areas.
Common area amenities include a cafeteria/auditorium and shared conference space, and the Lawrenceville/Hopewell Trail runs through the property.
