EQUUS ACQUIRES A 288 UNIT MULTIFAMILY COMMUNITY IN ATLANTA, GA

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head></head> <body> <p class="p1"><strong>Philadelphia, PA – (December 1, 2014)</strong> – Equus Capital Partners, Ltd. (Equus), one of the nation’s leading private equity real estate fund managers, announced today that its affiliates have acquired The Clairmont, a 288 unit multifamily community located in Atlanta, Georgia.&#160; The community was approximately 95 percent occupied at the time of closing. Madison Apartment Group, L.P. (Madison), the multifamily operating arm of Equus, will manage the community for the firm.&#160;</p> <p class="p1">“The transaction provided us with an opportunity to acquire a well located multifamily community in the growing and dynamic Atlantic market,” commented Steve Pogarsky, vice president of Equus who oversaw the acquisition for the firm. “We continue to seek opportunities to expand our portfolio with strategically located assets in primary and secondary markets nationwide.”</p> <p class="p1">The Clairmont has been renamed Madison Brookhaven.&#160; The attractive, nearly all-brick garden style community includes a mixture of one and two bedroom apartments. Onsite amenities include a clubhouse, fitness center, two pools and a dog park. Over the coming months, Equus will invest nearly $3 million to improve the community including a comprehensive rebranding program, substantial improvements and updates to the community amenities as well as extensive upgrades to the apartment interiors.</p> <p class="p1">Madison Brookhaven is situated in an in-fill location less than 5 miles east of Buckhead in the suburban Atlanta community of Brookhaven. The community is located just ½ mile from the Clairmont Road interchange of Interstate 85, providing convenient access to employment centers in nearby Buckhead and Midtown. It is also in close proximity to Emory University and the Centers for Disease Control.</p> <p class="p1">The acquisition of Madison Brookhaven was made on behalf of BPG Investment Partnership IX, L.P.
