Equus Capital Partners, Ltd. (“Equus”) is one of the nation's leading private equity fund real estate managers. 

The firm was established in 1980 to identify, develop and actively manage real estate investment opportunities for a select group of co-investors, and the firm’s role and business plan has evolved over the years from that of an equity investment partner in the 1980’s to a full service operating company in the 1990’s. 

Beginning in the early 1990’s, the firm, then known as BPG PROPERTIES, LTD., developed its “direct operator” model and made a number of investments on behalf of its first series of funds, instituting its first fully discretionary fund in 1999.

Since inception, BPG has owned and managed a portfolio of more than $10 billion in gross asset value and has acquired in excess of 50 million square feet of commercial space and 52,000 apartment units. In its 30-year history, the firm has raised approximately $3.3 billion in equity capital, and has sponsored 12 value-added investment funds.  The firm's current portfolio is approximately 17 million square-feet of office, retail, and industrial properties and nearly 8,000 apartment units located throughout the United States.

In February, 2013, BPG changed its brand to EQUUS CAPITAL PARTNERS, LTD. without making any other changes in the company’s business or operations.
